Library Overview
Esta página aún no está disponible en tu idioma.
The Library is the heart of BookVault.
Instead of keeping separate collections, BookVault stores your books once and lets you browse them in many different ways.
Whether you open Authors, Series, Categories, Tags, or Reading Status, you’re always looking at the same library.
Different Ways to Browse
Section titled “Different Ways to Browse”The sidebar organizes your collection using many different perspectives, including:
- Reading Status
- Ownership
- Categories
- Authors
- Translators
- Illustrators
- Tags
- Formats
- Languages
- Countries
- Publishers
- Stores
- Series
- Smart Tags
These are not separate libraries.
They’re simply different ways of viewing the same books.
For example:
- Opening Fantasy shows every Fantasy book.
- Opening Brandon Sanderson shows every book by that author.
- Opening Completed shows every finished book.
No matter how you browse, BookVault always works with the same collection.
Reading Status vs Ownership
Section titled “Reading Status vs Ownership”Reading Status and Ownership are independent.
For example, a book can be:
- Owned and Reading
- Wishlist and Want to Read
- Borrowed and Finished
This allows you to describe both your reading progress and your relationship with the book.
Smart Tags
Section titled “Smart Tags”Smart Tags are automatically generated collections based on filters.
Instead of manually adding books to a Smart Tag, you define a set of rules and BookVault keeps the collection updated automatically.
For example:
- Unread fantasy books
- Book of the Month books you haven’t read
- Books under 300 pages
Smart Tags are covered in more detail later in this guide.
