Reading Multiple Formats

Many readers switch between different formats while reading the same book.

For example, you might:

• Read on your Kindle at home.
• Listen to the audiobook while commuting.
• Continue with a hardcover in the evening.

BookVault is designed to support this workflow.

Primary Format

When you begin reading, you select the format that will act as the primary reference for your reading progress.

This allows BookVault to calculate your overall completion percentage consistently.

Switching Formats

Each reading session can be recorded using a different format.

For example:

• Ebook
• Paperback
• Hardcover
• Audiobook

BookVault records which format you used during each session.

Keeping Progress Synchronized

When reading across multiple formats, BookVault asks you to update the equivalent position in the primary format.

For example:

• If your primary format is an ebook and you listen to the audiobook, you’ll update the corresponding ebook page.
• If your primary format is an audiobook and you read the paperback, you’ll update the corresponding audiobook position.

This allows your reading progress, statistics, and completion percentage to remain accurate across every format.

Tip You can switch between formats as often as you’d like during the same read.
