Formats

An edition identifies a particular published version of a work. A format records how that edition exists in your collection: hardcover, paperback, ebook, or audiobook.

Multiple formats

Add more than one format when you have the same edition in different forms. Each format keeps its own identifiers and acquisition details.

Formats can include:

• ISBN-10, ISBN-13, or ASIN
• Page count or audiobook duration
• Narrators for an audiobook
• Store, purchase date, price, and currency
• A personal note

When tracking your reading, you can move between formats while keeping one continuous reading history.
